While It’s Not Good for Man to be Alone, He Shall Not Live on Bread Alone Either
Some young men are so eager to pursue the woman of their dreams. Some of them are clever and would even claim Genesis 2:18 as God’s promise to them, that “It is not good that the man should be alone” and that God “will make him a helper fit for him.”
Okay! It could be true that it is not good for them to be alone, and that it is God’s will that they marry someday. But how many of them are eager to court a godly woman, but not passionate on building their lives on God’s Word?
Matthew 4:4 says:
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
This is true of both men and women. But I’d like to address this blog to young men.
If you, young men, aren’t building your lives on the Bible, consider the following:
If the storms of life hit you, where will you anchor your hope and faith?
If the Devil tempts you, what will you use to hit him in his face?
If you will make a life-altering decision, what will be your source of wisdom?
If you have to make to stand, especially those that involved moral issues, what will be the basis of your convictions?
Finally, what will assure the woman that you are a God-centered, God-exalting, and God-loving person?
So young men, before you pursue the woman of your dreams, build your lives on the Word of God!
