In the Midst of Trials, O Lord, Help Me Still Say…

For the past few days, I’ve been reading and meditating on the Psalms. Life became amazingly tough for me during the past few weeks (So I’ll be asking for your prayers. I badly need them). But reading the Psalms refreshes my soul. It feels like the Lord Himself is speaking to me.

Some verses in the Psalms took a grip on me. In the past days, I’ve been tweeting those verses (and I will continue to tweet as long as I finish reading the books of Psalms). Now, I will compile those verses and blog them here.

While it is hard to hold on those verses in times of hardships, it is my prayer that the Lord will help me embrace them still. So in the midst of trials, O Lord, help me still say…

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! (Psalm 34:8)

But for you, O LORD, do I wait (38:15)

And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you (39:7)

I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart (40:8)

As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God (42:1)

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God (42:2)

I will give thanks to your name, O LORD, for it is good (54:6)

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you (56:3)

I will render thank offerings to you (56:12)

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation (62:1)

He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken (62:2)

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you (63:1)

Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you (63:3)

I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving (69:30)
